Taking Sides

by Ronald Harwood

Presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.

This true-life drama questions the motives of Wilhelm Furtwangler, one of the outstanding conductors of his time. While many of his colleagues fled the terrors of Hitler's Germany, Furtwangler stayed behind. Did he stay to do as much good as possible in the face of evil as so many believe, or did he stay to serve Hitler as he was accused?

As witnesses appear in this courtroom-like setting, you are left to decide for yourself.

"Taking sides is a taut, chilling drama... often witty" - Financial Times
